  • How much do Rewind cost?

Prices vary depending on where you'd like Rewind to travel to and the size of the band you'd like to book. Our prices cover all musicians fees, travel costs and expenses - we don't have an agent or anyone outside of the band taking a percentage and unnecessarily bumping up the amount you pay. This helps keep overall costs low and our prices as fair and as competitive as possible.

    As a rough guide:

    • 6 piece: Starts at £950

    • 9 piece: Starts at £1,350

    • Vintage: Starts a £1,100

However, for a personalised price quote, please email: music@rewind-music.com

    How do I book Rewind?

    When is payment due?

Deposit is required to secure your date in our diary. Remaining amount to be paid at any time before band are due to perform. We can also set-up a payment plan if required.

    How much deposit is required?

Depending on the band option chosen, usually 25% - 30% of the overall fee.

  • How long do you play for?

Acoustic Duo: 2x 45 minute sets.

Acoustic Trio: 2x 45 minute sets.

Jazz Trio: 2x 45 minute sets.

String Quartet: 2x 45 minute sets.

    6 piece, 9 piece & Vintage: 2x 1 hour sets.

Free Disco: 1 hour and 30 minutes.

What sort of music do you play?

Acoustic Duo: Soul and pop covers.

Acoustic Trio: Soul and pop covers.

    Jazz Trio: Jazz standards.

String Quartet: String arrangements of contemporary songs.

6, 9 piece & Vintage bands: Rock & Roll, soul, vintage pop, classic rock.

Free Disco: A bit of everything! Cheesy pop hits, 80s tunes, Rock, etc.

    Where do you play?

A lot of our bookings tend to be in the south-west of England: Gloucester, Bristol, Wiltshire, Somerset, Devon, Dorset, etc. However, if you want the band to play at your wedding, corporate event, private party, festival or any other function, we will travel wherever we are needed.

    Do you take song requests?

In the case of weddings, we can learn your first dance up to one month before your big day and can put anything on the disco - just let us know what you'd like!

Can you supply background music between band sets?

Yes! We will put a bit of music on over the PA whilst we have a break.

  • What size stage do you need?

Measurements are approximate. Don't panic if you only have 4.75m when it says 5m - we can always squeeze in a little closer! However, don't underestimate how deep a stage needs to be to fit the band on and please ensure it's as level and stable as possible.

Measurements in metres, width x depth

    Acoustic Duo: 2m x 1.5m

    Acoustic Trio: 2.5m x 1.5m

    Jazz Trio: 3.7m x 2m .

    String Quartet: 2.7m x 1.2m

    6 piece band: 5m x 3.5m

    9 piece band: 6.5m x 3.5m

    Vintage Line-Up: 6.5 x 3.5m

How long do you take to set-up?

We usually prefer around 2 hours to give ourselves enough time to load in, set up and soundcheck.

Do you provide your own PA and lights?

Yes! They're also fully PAT tested.

What do you require from the venue?

Sufficient stage space (see above), a few power supplies to the stage area, a small table, and preferably somewhere to store our instrument and equipment cases.

What do you require from me (the client)?

Besides payment, a big enough stage and enough power supply: nothing! Any food or drink you can give us is greatly appreciated but we don't have a rider or any madcap requirements.

I've been told the venue has a sound limiter - is this a problem?

A sound limiter is an electronic device that measures sound pressure levels and automatically cuts power to the stage/band area if the volume in the room exceeds the pre-set level. Simply put, if the band are too loud, there's a power cut.

This means that all the amps, the PA, and lights will all suddenly stop working which can not only ruin the performance but can also be damaging to our equipment.

Whilst we always take every care to play a decent listening volume, please be aware that your event could be ruined if a sound limiter is installed.

    Are you insured?

Yes. We have full Musician's Union Public Liability insurance. Certificates are available upon request.

  • Who Are Rewind?

We are a group of professional musicians who all met whilst studying music at university. Having played in various function bands for years, we decided to start Rewind as a way to provide top quality live music for functions at very affordable prices.

Each one of us takes a different role in ensuring Rewind operates like a well oiled machine. Unlike a lot of similar bands, you won't deal with a faceless booking agent or manager leading up to your event. Instead, you'll be personally in contact with the same group of musicians who will turn up and play for you on the day. Using a personal approach to the business side of things means we're able build a good rapport with our many happy customers which drives us to provide the best service we can whilst keeping our prices low.

The core members of Rewind are:

    Alice Price: Vocals

    Gabi Rowbottom: Vocals

    George Barlow: Guitar and vocals

Lauren Davies: Keys and backing vocals

Joe Webb: Drums and backing vocals

Joe Williams: Bass guitar and vocals

What can Rewind do for me?

We can provide evening music from a 6 or 9 piece rock & roll, soul, and pop evening band (which both include a free 1hr 30min disco) as well as day time and background music from one of our acoustic acts, a jazz trio or a string quartet - which are all half price when booked with an evening band! That means with Rewind, you can get nearly five hours of music throughout your event for roughly the same price many bands would charge for a two hour evening set alone!
